One of the 18 sponsored talented students in school of AnenA is Zinaye Marye. Zinaye was born in 2002 at a village named `Kegawuha` located in Dera woreda in Gelawudiwos kebele which is close to primary school of AnenA. The number of family members in the household is four. When she reached to school going age her parents refused send her to school at the time. But the CMC members of school of ANENA were enrolling all school going age children in the villages that had no access to the school for the new year (September 2010).

While they were searching, Zinaye was found at home urged by her parents not to go to school. The CMC members got her carrying her little sister on her back and asked her whether she was registered at school or not. She replied quickly that ‘I want to join school as my age mates are doing but my parents are not allowing me to go to school’. The committee members immediately asked her parents why they didn`t send Zinaye to school but her parents replied that they are poor to accommodate her expenses and also they need to use her labor by negotiating her to become servant to wealthy families in the surrounding. But the CMC members took time for some discussions to convince them and have consulted them to send her to school and Zinaye was privileged to engage in school at the age of 8 years old.
Zinaye then after getting of school opportunity, she became a talented clever student in her education and was able to stood 3rd among 55 children in her class in 2010 and 1st in 2011/12. She was lucky that she was selected for sponsorship program on the basis of her talent, background of her families, gender and other criterion for assisting her in supports at school of ANENA. She became very competitive and genius student in her education and hence stood 1st in her class by scoring an average of 95.37% at the end of June2013 in grade 3.
Her parents and the school community are expressing their pleasure on her performances that if she had not been accessed for school through high pressure of the school community, she would have been exposed for severe child labour and early marriage which may darken her future. Her ambition is to become Medical Doctor in the future to help the people in service provision.
Her parents finally thanked WCAT and Edukans/AnenA for continuous supports and for the created bright future and opportunity of their daughter.
